Forsaken and bereft

forsaken So many wonderful hours spent in the comfy chairs under the shady tarp overlooking the sparkling lake! And now, no more. That photo makes me feel guilty, as though I've abandoned a loyal and dependable friend. As soon as the porch of the cabin was ready, I hustled up the hill to the shelter tarp and grabbed a couple of comfy chairs from under the tarp to install them there. (And it happened sooner than that too. The builders had moved a pair down while they were building the cabin to sit in and enjoy their lunch while overlooking the sparkling lake.) No one hesitated to plunder the old tarp of its resources. I look at the photo and think there are a few good steel posts there I could put to use in the pine plantation. And I could fold the tarp and store it away for when I might need it, sometime, somehow. But I have a different plan for the tarp. It floated for years on the spot where the cabin now stands. As a precursor to the cabin, it did a nice job. It helped the universe see that a cabin could rise there. So my plan now is to move it over to where we hope to build our house. Maybe there it can ease the universe into seeing a house fit in the forest too. Missouri calendar:

That tarp has wonderful powers and a great way of getting things done. Maybe it could run for congress.

I knew from the title this would be a tarp post.

Looks like some strange alien disappearing thing going on under that cover!
