Sunday supplications

three Libby is off to Kentucky this weekend for her annual girls' trip to the film festival there. That leaves me at home with the three pups, trying to keep everyone sane and healthy. She comes back tomorrow, unless she decides to stay longer, that is. Look for healthy dogs.

Have you visited the latest edition of the Festival of the Trees yet over at Blog do Avores Vivas? It's a bilingual edition. Festival coordinator, Dave, will be hosting the next edition at Via Negativa (for the fourth time!). He's set no theme but has set a submission deadline: November 29. (He has stated he will accept bribes to consider late submissions.) Send your posts (or interesting tree-related links you have found) to bontasaurus (at) yahoo (dot) com. Be sure to put Festival of the Trees in the subject line. Or you can use the Contact form. It's really quite easy! The Festival of the Trees is now on Twitter, Identica, and Facebook. We've already scheduled our first host in the new year, but we're constantly on the prowl for other hosts. Dave has made an eloquent plea (he is a poet, after all) for many of you out there to consider hosting the Festival. Give it a read. And look for tree posts.

The world is full of round rocks, it seems. Check out the Moeraki Boulders in New Zealand. Look for round rocks.

The forecast is for 77ยบ today, and next weekend begins the 10-day, high-powered rifle deer hunting season that keeps us out of our woods. (With so much time for Pablo not to be in his woods, look for many posts on this humble blog originating in suburbia.) Do you suppose Pablo went down to Roundrock today? Only the pups know, and they won't tell. Look for Pablo. Missouri calendar:
  • Look for mallards.
