This one is nice, though it suffers from the usual degradation of quality in the transfer to the internet. I guess the only way to get better quality video is to get a camera devoted to that, and since that would just be one more thing for me to carry about the forest, I probably won't.
Seeing this makes me wish I were there right now. I'm hoping that the lake is even fuller than this.

we found, working on macs, that we could upload full quality video from our camera to our isp and provide a link which would invoke quicktime. as it was a large file it took a while to show when someone used the link.
OR……we could use a feature of imovie to save the video piece in a compressed format for quick viewing on the internet, losing some quality. i think that the video posting software systems compress whatever you give them.

Roger – I’m using a conversion program that changes my video files from AVI to MP4, which take up far less space. They’re still detailed when I play them locally, but after I upload them, they’ve lost a lot of detail. I am willing to accept that, but I still see plenty of videos on the hosting site that are crisp and detailed. I imagine they started with a finer original.
